## About public disclosures

MAIB will maintain a public disclosure log on its website to support transparency and consistency with whole‑of‑government RTI practices. Information released to an applicant under the RTI Act will be published on the disclosure log as soon as reasonably practicable following the decision (generally within 48 hours of release), where:

- publication is in the public interest;
- the information does not contain personal information, commercially sensitive information, or information otherwise inappropriate for broader release; and
- publication is consistent with the whole‑of‑government Information Disclosure Policy and Procedures.

Where no disclosures meet the criteria for publication, the disclosure log will note that **no public disclosures are currently available**.

Information published on the MAIB disclosure log may be removed after a reasonable period (generally six months), having regard to ongoing public interest, operational considerations, and any legal or privacy obligations.
